what do i look for?

  • Thirst - You should drink fluids regularly throughout the day. REMEMBER once you are thirsty, you are already fairly dehydrated

  • Dark yellow, pungent urine - your urine will be pale yellow or clear when you are well hydrated

  • Headache, tired, dizzy or faint - these are all signs of dehydration


tips

  • Try to drink HALF of your body weight in ounces ( 150 lbs = 75 oz of water )

  • Set a recurring timer on your phone or watch to remind you to drink water

  • Choose water when you are thirsty - avoid sugary drinks

  • Limit your caffeine intake - caffeinated drinks can contribute to dehydration

  • Keep water nearby at work, school, home, etc.

  • Try adding in citrus or cucumber slices if you need a little flavor to help get you through
