Spinal Decompression

One of the least invasive forms of treatment for disc injuries, Spinal Decompression Therapy was approved by the FDA in 2001. Spinal Decompression Therapy is also one of the least expensive forms of treatment for herniated and degenerative spinal discs, and spinal stenosis which is one of the major causes of most back and neck pain.

Relieves & Heals:

Back Pain

Pinched Nerves

Bulging or Herniated Discs

Neuropathy

Spinal Stenosis

Degenerative Disc Disease (DDD)

Sciatica

How does it work?

By significantly reducing intradiscal pressure, spinal decompression works on the affected spinal segment by creating a vacuum affect on the herniated tissue. This natural vacuum retracts the extruded disc material, which relieves the pressure off the pinched nerve and reduces inflammation as well.

The vacuum effect typically increases the spacing between the vertebra when the discs are rehydrated, allowing additional room for the nerve. When the disc rehydrates, it restores the shock absorbing capabilities and reduces mechanical stress on the related structures (facet joints and supporting ligamentous tissues).
