Is low back pain normal?

Affecting 619 million people worldwide, low back pain is the NUMBER ONE cause of disability worldwide. According to the World Health Organization ( WHO ), rehabilitation is essential to help people return to activities they enjoy and identify strategies to support recovery and improve function.

This is where we come in! Our doctors will perform an in-depth health history and evaluation to determine the cause of your lower back pain. We then build a treatment plan specifically for YOU!

Here are some of our favorite stretches to help relieve your back pain!

Figure Four Stretch

In the “Figure Four” position, grab behind your thigh and bring your knee towards your chest. Hold for 30 seconds and switch sides. Repeat 3 times on each side.

Knee to Chest

With one leg resting straight out, bring the other knee to your best and apply downward pressure with your hands. Hold for 30 seconds and switch sides. Repeat 3 times on each side.

Knee to Opposite Shoulder

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

As always, we encourage you to perform these stretches within your body’s limits. Our doctors and assistants are happy to provide you with modifications in the office if these stretches are too difficult OR easy for you.
